Water & Nutrition
While I keep educate my clients on the
ins and outs of eating properly and drinking
plenty of water, some highlights of my
nutritional recommendations and are listed
below. Be sure to check with your doctor
before starting any new diet or exercise
program.
~ Pamela
Before we begin, please remember
that MODERATION IS KEY! While we've outlined
some of the "best practice"
guidelines for achieving a smoother, healthier
body, we must take a moment to remind everyone
that life is way too short. If you want
to enjoy pizza, cookies or some ice cream,
allow yourself. Counter it afterwards with
16 ounces of water.
Remember, life is
about balance, so if you have some unhealthy
moments one day, make healthier choices
the next.
Our guidelines and recommendations are
a healthier way to live. YOU ARE IN CONTROL
of your choices, and understand that you
cannot live on sweets alone, nor can you
really "live" by eating only
healthy foods 365 days per year. Our
advice: Stay focused, not obsessive--
this way you can enjoy your new lifestyle
changes! Eat well, eat smart-- and remember
to eat regularly and drink your water.
Water. It's INCREDIBLY important, which
is why it's first on this list. Drink
64-80 ounces daily, depending on your
body weight and blood pressure. Also be
sure to adjust for weather and exercise--on
days you are sweating, drink a little
extra. You know your body and when you
feel good and hydrated. Get plenty of
water but don't go "overboard."
Vitamins are great for replenishing your
body -- visit your local health food store
and find a good multivitamin to supplement
your diet. Check with your doctor before
beginning any nutritional supplement program.
